Henry Pharr is a partner at Horack Talley and co-chair of its commercial litigation practice. He concentrates his practice on real property and landlord/tenant litigation, lease drafting and negotiation, commercial and residential real estate practice disputes, and general commercial litigation. Henry is admitted to practice before all North Carolina state courts, and the Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts for the U.S. District Court of North Carolina.

For 20 years, Henry has been actively engaged in negotiating, modifying, and litigating leases involving retail, industrial, office, and residential properties. He regularly speaks to both lawyers and business groups on real estate leasing issues and collateral legal topics including lender workouts, collections, evictions, liens, property damage, bankruptcy, negotiation tactics, zoning and land use, and condemnation. He is also heavily involved at the local and national levels of ICSC, NAIOP, IREM, BOMA, NARPM, and SAHMA.

Henry lectures and leads seminars on landlord/tenant law for the National Business Institute and other organizations such as BOMA, the North Carolina State Bar, the Mecklenburg County Bar and IREM. He also serves as a Mecklenburg County District Court Mediator for eviction appeals and is a North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission Superior Court Certified Mediator.

Henry maintains a pro bono practice, which includes landlord/tenant work for Mecklenburg County Legal Aid, where he was the winner of the Mecklenburg County Bar award for pro bono work in 1998.
